Acelero is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

We believe that everyone should have full and equal access to our digital content, regardless of ability. Our commitment is to provide a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards. We strive to make our website a welcoming and usable experience for all.

Accessibility Standards and Efforts

To help us make the Acelero website a positive place for everyone, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user-friendly for everyone.

Here are some of the efforts we have implemented to enhance accessibility:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements and navigation can be accessed and operated using only a keyboard.
  • Alternative Text: We provide descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images and non-text content.
  • Clear Structure: We use clear and consistent headings, lists, and semantic HTML to improve navigation and readability for screen readers.

Technologies Used

Accessibility of Acelero relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Known Limitations and Ongoing Efforts

While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website at all times. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our content and functionality.

Some areas we are actively working on include:

  • Colour contrast has not been verified on 43 page elements; automated testing could not determine the contrast ratio and a manual review is outstanding.
  • Two homepage videos autoplay without caption tracks, and one of them has no playback controls.
  • Some pages overflow horizontally at a 320-pixel screen width, so some people need to scroll sideways to read them.
  • The news category filter is announced as a list box but does not yet support list box keyboard interaction.
  • Some links within body text are distinguished from the surrounding text by colour alone.
  • Focus indicators have not yet been confirmed by manual keyboard testing across the whole site, so we do not claim them as fully implemented.

We regularly review our website and conduct accessibility audits to identify and fix issues.
