As Senior Vice President of Family Engagement, Lori oversees network-wide collaboration to design and develop Acelero, Inc.’s equity-centered family engagement and health strategy. This work engages families as partners in their children’s learning and development and promotes their overall well-being. Lori’s most recent role prior to joining Acelero was as Queens Borough Commissioner of Child Protection for NYC Administration for Children’s Services. Her extensive experience also includes 10 years as Deputy Director of the National Program Office of Free to Grow: Head Start Partnerships to Promote Substance-free Communities, where she collaborated with 25 Head Start communities to design and test comprehensive models to strengthen the families and neighborhoods of young children. She holds a bachelor’s in sociology and psychology from Beloit College and a master’s in psychology from Duquesne University. Her work has taken her to 49 states and Puerto Rico.
