Prior to her current role as Vice President of Early Learning Services, Dr. Childress served as Director of the SPARK Quality Support Center, where she played a pivotal role in coordinating support services for the city-funded PHLpreK program in Philadephia. Dr. Childresss journey also includes founding the Children’s Community School and conducting groundbreaking research for her Doctorate in Social Justice Leadership Practices in Early Childhood Education at Drexel University. Dr. Childress also holds master’s degrees in early childhood from Aradia University and health arts and sciences from Goddard College and a bachelor’s degree in human studies and creative writing from Warren Wilson College.
