As the Vice President of Policy & Performance, Stephen leads the development and execution of policies that ensure data equity and effective technology-driven reporting, while overseeing policy compliance, data governance, and performance monitoring across the organization to drive informed, equitable decision-making and positive outcomes. Stephen began his career as a secondary teacher in California, and has served in various capacities in non-profit, education, and business spaces for over 20 years.

Prior to his current position, Stephen served as Interim Chief of Staff for the Learning & Impact Team at Acelero, Inc., where he led the facilitation of strategic planning and development, and as the Project Manager for the Early Learning team at Acelero, Inc., where he led the project lifecycle, stakeholder engagement, and resource management of Acelero’s birth to five curriculum redesign.

Fun fact: Half Diné (Navajo), Stephen has a unique perspective shaped by his experiences growing up across the United States, a journey influenced by his father’s service in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
